You’ve already done what a lot of people never do: start. In addition to taking the next steps you must continue to stay focused when faced with obstacles or failures. How you react to turmoil will predict how far you go in achieving your goals. Maintain a thriving over surviving mentality & everything will fall into place; along with some hard work of course.
Instinctually you may want to retreat when funding for a new venture isn’t approved or if your launch isn’t as successful as planned. Or maybe your proposal was a flop or you didn’t get the promotion you were up for. It’s easy to just give up & not put yourself in a position to be disappointed anymore but what’s success without failure? Acknowledge them & pivot for future endeavors.
We all make mistakes, but the people who thrive from their mistakes are the successful ones. – Henry Cloud
Success doesn’t happen overnight. And honestly it may not be what you thought it would be. You may have already experienced successes that you aren’t even acknowledging. Did you finally launch that business on Etsy or enroll people in your online course? Did you blindly call prospective clients or finally run an ad for your services? In the grand scheme of things these may seem like small accomplishments but you did them. And you didn’t die. Take a moment this week & write down everything you’ve accomplished this year. Reflect & then set even bigger goals for yourself.
You’ve started, taken the next steps & now you’ve got to keep putting in the work & fine tune when things don’t go as expected. Remember to not be afraid to ask for help. Building a community will definitely help you keep your eye on the prize. Be sure to share your knowledge too. You’ve got this. Just remember to stay focused.
