As Mercury’s been in reverse cowgirl you’ve found yourself feeling ick huh? Same here y’all. I really don’t know what it is. I can’t even explain it. This time of the year is always hard for me after the loss of my mom, but that hasn’t been the only thing throwing me off. I physically don’t feel right. But you’re in luck! I’ve got a few sure-fire ways to help cheer yourself right back up.
- Cry. Try it. You’ll feel better. I promise. I like to particularly cry at work. Or in the car which is sometimes hard when driving. But you gotta let it out. Sometimes the weirdness you’re feeling is because your body needs a release in the form of tears.
- Stretch. You’ve been tense & you’ve cried but something still isn’t right. Try stretching. Even just stretching for a few minutes a day can drastically change the way you feel. If you’re feeling extra ambitious throw some yoga in there too. Sometimes doing yoga & connecting with your breathing will just naturally make you tear up.
- Go outside. Get some Vitamin D (in this instance I mean sun). This time of the year it’s rainy & cold & gloomy in a lot of places so you’re lacking Vitamin D. If going outside isn’t an option you can invest in a light therapy lamp from Amazon. Then you can bring sunshine wherever you go.
- Watch The Office. If you don’t like The Office I’m not even sure why you’re here. But if it doesn’t make you rollover laughing then watch any comedy that does. Laughing releases endorphins into your brain that will magically help make you feel happier. And laughing is believed to burn calories too!
- Diffuse some essential oils. Lavender, peppermint, citrus & vanilla smells are said to have a positive impact on your mood. Don’t have any essential oils? Find alternative things that you can lightly breath in with the same scents. Or simply just breath. Breathing helps you to relax.
- Take a nap. They aren’t just beneficial for preschoolers. Adults need to take naps too. Naps can improve your mental alertness & improve your physical stamina. Look at your daily schedule & see when you have some time to schedule a siesta.
