#3For3: Songs To Get You Elevated

When I smoke I usually listen to music. Probably about 95% of the time honestly. I do appreciate my moments in silence but it’s something about lighting up that tree while becoming entranced in the intricate delicacies of the song.

I also like to share my love for music in the form of Spotify playlists. And I like to share my musical selections via IG stories too. I quickly noticed my IG homie Jachelle (@itsjachelle) was posting some bops too. So it was only right I asked her to collab on this list of songs to get you elevated.

Jachelle is a hair artist spreading love through cannabis, wellness and other beautiful shit. Check out her bio and some of her work here and give her a follow after you read about how cool she is. Now let’s get into these songs!

Jachelle’s Picks

So High – Doja Cat (Sativa)

I stumbled across this song back during early SoundCloud days. This was the first song I ever heard from Doja Cat and I instantly became a fan. The whole album is the perfect vibe to smoke to.

White Tee – Summer Walker (Indica)

For a late night vibe, I’m honestly obsessed with this song. When it’s a sesh & chill type of night, throw this on. Something sexy, something cool to get ready for your person to come over & kick it. Savage Fenty energy.

Soulection (Hybrid)

Soulection is my daily playlist what I listen to constantly. Another gem from early SoundCloud days, DJ Joe Kay curates some of the best mixes & discovers some of the best new indie artists that we have grown to love (now available on Apple Music each week). If I could describe myself with music it would be chill, smooth, nostalgic R&B soul sounds mixed with a modern beat. That’s Soulection.

Brit’s Picks

Whole Lotta Money – BIA (Sativa)

This is really a manifestation song. I actually need to add it to my Trill Affirmations playlist. BIA is really just a whole ass vibe. Y’all know how much I love women rappers. Her whole album is really a bop!

Doobie Ashtray – Devin the Dude (Indica)

I could honestly listen to this song on repeat. Even when I’m not smoking. It’s just something about Devin’s voice that is mesmerizing. He could literally be saying anything and it would still be a bop. One day I want to smoke with this man.

Gang Shit No Lame Shit – Key Glock (Hybrid)

Key Glock & Young Dolph do to me what Gucci & Jeezy used to do. Hustle & motivation trap just does it for me. Especially when I’m smoking & working on projects. It’s provocative. It’s get the crowd going you know?

If you have any suggestions for dope ass songs we should check out link them in the comments & I’ll check the out!
